What I Learned This Week (and Why It Matters for You Too)
This week's newsletter is a little different. Less theory, more soul, because this has been a big week and honestly, a bit of a messy one too.
On one hand, today we celebrated the finale session of the very first 90-day sprint inside the Freedom Collective. What started three months ago as a spontaneous decision, fueled by nothing but my passion for helping women escape the hustle and grind, became a real, vibrant, generous, and brave community.
Together, we got visible. We refined our offers. We challenged our thinking and grew our businesses. We built something from nothing. It’s been powerful.
On the other hand? I was wading through a deep bout of impostor syndrome. The kind that whispers: Who are you to lead this? Is this even working?
Even as the messages poured in, testimonials, gratitude, quiet DMs from women saying “this changed everything”, my brain was running its own chaotic highlight reel.
So I did what I have learned to do. I turned to the tools I teach. I journaled. I named the emotion. I regulated. I moved forward anyway, taking action in faith.
Then today, just after that final session ended, I noticed something.... I had jumped straight back into grind mode. Planning the next email, fixing the next funnel, chasing the next task. And I almost missed the moment.
So I stopped. I breathed. I gave myself permission to celebrate.
You see, here’s the thing: If you do not pause to honour the wins, your brain will not keep showing up. It’s like riding a horse without ever giving it water; eventually, it will collapse underneath you.
And that’s not freedom.
That’s fatigue disguised as ambition.
So as we wrap up Q2 and head into the second half of the year, whether you’re in a cold South African winter or a summer of distractions in the Northern Hemisphere, I invite you to do two things:
1. Celebrate what you have done.
Not what’s missing. Not what’s still not perfect. Celebrate the fact that you’re still here, still working, still growing.
2. Come join me this Thursday for the Freedom Success Formula webinar.
I’m going to share exactly what I’ve learned about building a business and a brain that can sustain it. We will discuss visibility fears, celebration science, and why strategy without a mindset will never bring you freedom.
Let’s start Q3 with clarity, confidence, and the chemistry your brain actually needs to win.
Much love,
tan!a xo
